It is a Canadian company with its head
office in the province of Quebec. It began its operations in 1995
with research and
development and technological adaptation work. This work led to the
installation of a prototype system for tracing human outlines at
the
radiation oncology department at the Chicoutimi hospital. In late 1998,
the success achieved led to the sale of a new prototype of the "Conformator"
at the Rimouski hospital.
In 1999, IMAGEM Medical Systems
began designing management software for radiological information. Its
innovative processes allowed to facilitate hospital work and to
structure
each
product for specific needs.
In 2000, IMAGEM Medical Systems
signed a partnership contract with the Saguenay Cléophas Claveau
hospital to provide a scanning and communication system for radiological
images. This system allowed it to continue its patient service operations
in spite of the lack of a specialist at the hospital.
In 2001, IMAGEM Medical Systems
continued its expansion by hiring a sales and marketing director located
at the new IMAGEM Medical Systems office in Quebec
City. His prime mission is to promote the company and its products
throughout
the province of Quebec.
In 2002, IMAGEM Medical Systems
was rewarded for its professionalism and product quality when Carrefour
de santé in Jonquière awarded them a contract to supply
and install the full InterView system. This included IMaRIS,
IMAPACS, IMaWEB, Teleradiology, the
central dictation system and the transcription module.
