PRESENTATION

The IMaPACS image archiving and communication system manages and transfers digital medical images for interpretation, diagnosis and clinical reference. The IMAPACS software installed on a Sun Microsystems™ high performance server allows:
  • to acquire and process images;
  • to display, process (zoom, brightness, contrast, gamma correction, measurements, notes) and print images and reports;
  • to immediately access short-term storage within 3 seconds and to access long-term image archives within 15 seconds;
  • to transfer images, reports and technical data by the PACS and RTSS networks.

It includes an IMaGATE interface used to exchange information with other systems, such as RIS, DPE, etc.

It also has software tools that include IMaGATOR, required for examination and image management by the PACS administrator, and ImaTR, an ultra-powerful trouble-shooting corrective maintenance software, that allows to trace all the events that occurred in a time window set by the administrator.

The Event manager software allows to forward specific studies to the proper doctors, distribute workloads according to set criteria, route images if required and send HL7 messages.

The long-term storage is evolutionary, may be progressively upgraded and allows to achieve scale cost savings.

The upgradeable architecture of the storage system on N.A.S. (Network Attached Storage) may suit any hospital, regardless of size or workload.

IMAWEB

IMaWEB is a low-cost and effective tool to access images and reports from stations located within or outside the hospital.

Thus it is easy for doctors from various private hospitals to send and share these documents.
